Division Of Hearings
EDR's Division of Hearings consists of two full-time Hearing Officers and a legal secretary. The full-time Hearing Officers are experienced, qualified attorneys chosen through a competitive selection process in accordance with state statute. As a supplement to the full-time Hearing Officers, part-time Hearing Officers conduct grievance hearings as needed to meet workload demands. The part-time Hearing Officers are experienced attorneys in private practice who meet the qualifications to hear state employee grievances. Each Hearing Officer exercises independent judgment in conducting the hearing, determining the facts, and rendering a decision in an employee grievance.
