Mediation for Employees in Southwest Virginia
To expand workplace mediation services to state employees in the Commonwealth’s southwestern region, EDR has partnered with Virginia Tech's Office of Equity and Inclusion. Through this partnership, ten Virginia Tech mediators, currently serving the Tech community, have volunteered to provide mediation services through EDR's statewide workplace mediation program to all state employees working within 120 miles of Blacksburg.
Requesting EDR mediation services remains the same. State employees interested in workplace mediation should contact their agency's mediation coordinator or call EDR's Adviceline at 888-232-3842 to learn more. Once the agency's mediation coordinator determines the case is appropriate for mediation, the agency will submit a mediation request form to Heather Schofield, EDR's Mediation Program Manager. If the mediation can take place within 120 miles of Blacksburg, EDR will work with Virginia Tech's mediation program manager to assign the mediators and schedule the case.
